INSTALLATION OF THE CHECKPOINT IN THE POOL

 

What is this strange ball floating in the air next to the machine?
Could it be a new rule to facilitate the surfers’ flow?

 

After two years of activity, the behavior of our surfers is changing.
Some of them “forget” to go around the machine and go back to the peak.
They cheat and don’t go back to the take off zone regularly. They “snake”.

 

This year you will notice a strange buoy floating in the air attached to the machine.
This is the Checkpoint.

 

The rule is simple, once your wave is surfed and to get back to the peak, you must pass under the checkpoint.
If you don’t pass under the checkpoint, you are last in line; simple as that.

 

It is always necessary to go towards the wall in case of a fall.

 

The goal is to allow all surfers in the water to surf the same number of waves; without being “snaked” by ill-intentioned clients.
