The Story of Alaïa

ALAÏA, IN A FEW WORDS

Launched in 2015 by Adam Bonvin, Alaïa was born following a surfing trip to Hossegor in France. His desire: to recreate this surfing atmosphere in Switzerland and share the values associated with it.

The name “Alaïa” is the term used to refer to the first surfboards used in Hawaii. Surfing is at the root of many other board sports, including skateboarding and snowboarding.

The group’s first project was the Alaïa Chalet. A centre dedicated to action sports such as skateboarding, BMX, parkour, freeskiing and snowboarding.

At the same time, Alaïa Bay was taking shape. It is the very first Surf Park in continental Europe.
